Zinc alloys for Galvanizing
Galvanizing zinc alloys (fluxes) are intended for both batch and continuous hot-dip galvanizing of steel products. The alloy is produced from electrolytic zinc grade Z1 (according to EN 1179) with additional alloying elements tailored to the client's specific requirements (aluminum, bismuth, tin, nickel). The content of each element depends on the composition of the zinc bath. The production of galvanizing fluxes was patented in 2009.
The galvanizing flux contains concentrated amounts of all alloying elements that should be present in the zinc bath. To achieve the desired composition, the flux is diluted with electrolytic zinc Z1 (dosage ratio according to individual agreements). We also offer laboratory services as part of our collaboration.
Fluxes are cast into blocks weighing approximately 500 kg and 900 kg. OM Szopienice offers processing services for client-supplied raw materials, allowing for the production of galvanizing flux using electrolytic zinc Z1 provided by the client.
